Matric of Deity

This game mode serves as a secondary progression milestone (alongside the main campaign), allowing players primarily to collect Artifacts and other in-game currencies.

Rule

The Matrix of Deity is unlocked when players complete Stages 6-4. To unlock the next MoD stage, players must meet the Campaign stage requirement and complete at least 60% of the previous stages. Subsequent matrices will be unlocked in predetermined chapters.

Players can start and complete the MoD at any time. Opening and restarting a MoD will reset progression.

Enemy stats in the MoD are not affected by the player's Power, meaning they are fixed.

Players can only use 1 Mercenary in the MoD but can use it multiple times.

If a player loses a match, they will be stuck on that match but can collect artifacts and runes to strengthen before returning to fight the boss. Progress will not be lost during this time.

Matrix Design

The matrix is a gameplay screen based on a 6 x 6 square grid. Each matrix map consists of multiple stacked squares, and players can interact with each square to explore. Squares may contain enemies, special items, etc. A matrix has multiple levels, and upon completing one level, a staircase appears on the map for players to ascend to the next level. Each matrix will include x levels; see the list of maps here.

The elements players will encounter when interacting with tiles on the matrix map:

At the start of the Matrix, only tiles around the Gate are interactable. When these tiles are opened, other tiles will be unlocked in a spreading pattern.

  1. Elements: Interaction (attack, counterattack, support, etc.) within the matrix.

Note: When interacting with tiles containing Elements, visual effects affect enemies or players on the map.

  1. Items: Used to battle elements (enemies) on the map.

Note: When interacting with tiles containing Items, the items appear on the map and disappear only when used by players.

  1. Enemies: Enemies on the map can be fought using items on the map or through direct battle. Direct battles transition scenes like other battles.

Note: When interacting with tiles containing enemies, surrounding tiles are blocked (un-interactive) until the enemy is defeated.

Reward

  • Crystal Chest Rewards: Only in Crystal Chests can Artifacts be found. Opening Crystal chests and collecting Artifacts is a crucial factor in fighting the final boss of the matrix. Crystal Chests are received upon completing a large Matrix, usually appearing on the final floor of that Matrix.

  • Gold Chest Rewards: Contains common items such as Gold, Hero essence, Gems, gear, etc. Gold chests appear after every 2 Floors of the Matrix.

  • Wood Chest rewards: Wood chests are placed on tiles on each floor. Wood chests contain gems, gold, and common gears.

  • Runes (similar to Runes in the Dungeon of Trial), when defeating an enemy, three Rune options appear for players to choose from, and the buffs in the rune apply only in that matrix.

Artifact An artifact is like a card that can be equipped for a hero to increase power. Each Artifact has Equipment attributes (buff stats for the Hero) and Artifact Power (special powers in each case).
